Service Pricing

Required annually. Turnaround time is normally the next day. Eddy’s current exam is required for aluminum 6351 alloy cylinders and suggested for all aluminum cylinders.

> Inspect to standards of Professional Scuba Inspectors Inc. (PSI)
> If appropriate, use an eddy current device to further evaluate the threads
> Clean the neck/valve threads; lubricate and install a new neck/valve O-ring
> Install valve on cylinder and test for leaks
> Supply full documentation of inspection

Required every five years. Turnaround time is two to three days.

> Test the cylinder at a TC-authorized hydrostatic test facility
> Rinse cylinder interior and thoroughly dry

Required when significant interior corrosion is present. Turnaround time is next day.

> Dry tumble cylinder with abrasive appropriate for cylinder composition
> Blow out cylinder with high pressure air to remove all dust

Required every five years. Turnaround time is two to three days.

> Test the cylinder at a TC-authorized hydrostatic test facility
> Rinse cylinder interior and dry thoroughly

Recommended annually. Turnaround time is next day.

> Wash cylinder interior with environmentally safe detergents to remove hydrocarbon contamination
> Rinse cylinder interior and thoroughly dry
> Completely disassemble valve, hydrostatically clean, and carefully inspect all parts for damage/corrosion/wear
> Replace any parts as appropriate and always replace all O-rings using oxygen-compatible products

Required anytime excess aluminum oxide is detected in aluminum tanks, or when slight corrosion is detected in steel tanks.
A whipping brush is used to remove contaminants from the cylinder wall.

Recommended at same time as cylinder hydrostatic test. Turnaround time is next day.

> Completely disassemble, ultrasonically clean, and carefully inspect all parts for damage/corrosion/wear
> Replace any parts as appropriate; always replace the burst disk and all O-rings
> Install valve on cylinder and test for leaks

Required annually. Turnaround time is normally next day.

> Disassemble manifold
> Hydrostatically clean all parts; replace O-rings
>Assemble manifold and test for leaks

Recommended every 3 years. Turnaround time is two days and we offer priority rush service.

> Maintain 1st stage and two 2nd stages
> Completely disassemble, hydrostatically clean, and carefully inspect all parts for damage/corrosion/wear
> Replace all parts as recommended by the manufacturer and is included in their service kits
> Replace all O-rings on hoses; lubricate as necessary
> Replace O-rings on SPG swivel; clean and re-assemble
> Assemble, test, and tune to factory specifications

Hourly labour rate – $75.00

Customer Satisfaction

Your complete satisfaction is our goal. If any service from us does not meet your expectations, we will readjust or service the item again at no charge within 60 days from the original service date.

Estimates

We are happy to offer you an estimate of repair costs. We will not perform any service which exceeds the estimate by $25 without your prior approval.

Partials

We accept only complete equipment for full service. We do not accept components only (for example, only a second stage) or perform partial repairs.

Unclaimed Items

Benthic Scuba is not responsible for items left over 60 days.
